DRESS CODE The Ballet Uniform is: For Ladies- Pink Tights, Black Leotard, Pink Ballet Slippers and hair securely pulled back (including bangs). For Gentlemen – Black Cotton Men's Capri Tight (by Capezio), Fitted Plain White Shirt and Black Ballet Shoes. For ALL Other Classes: **NEW** Anything that doesn't hide your body (i.e. bootie shorts, tanks, crop tops etc…). Baggy oversized clothing is not acceptable. Jeans or other items that do not stretch and breathe should not be worn. Hair should be pulled back unless permitted by an instructor. Multiple and/or large accessories are not permitted. Barefoot or appropriate shoes should be worn for each class; Level 1 - Level 4 are not permitted to train in socks. STUDIO CLOSURES: Studio closures due to inclement weather or dangerous driving conditions; The decision whether or not to close will always be made by 2:00pm (sometimes earlier depending on the severity of the storm). The message on the studio phone will be changed as soon as we have decided to close (the latest would be 2:00pm). The studio number is (303)290-6246. Please note, You will not receive a personal call to notify you that the studio has closed. The closure will also be posted on our website and an email sent will be out to all subscribers of our mailing list (if you are not a member please sign up ASAP). The studio will open for classes as usual the following day unless the closure is updated and another email is sent out. If the studio closes make-up classes are available for the following 6 weeks (no refunds are issued). Peanut Sensitive Policy Michelle Latimer Dance Academy has adopted a peanut free/sensitive policy to ensure the safety of all dancers and staff in hopes to provide a studio environment that is safe for all children. Please try not to send your dancer to the studio with products containing peanuts, tree nuts and their oils. We thank you in advanced for your understanding and compliance with this policy. Parents are encouraged to contact the studio office at 303-290-6246 with questions CLASS OBSERVATION Classes may be observed through the observation windows. However, we suggest you limit your viewing time as this is most conductive to a constructive learning environment. At no time is any individual allowed to sit inside the studio and observe while class is in session unless given special permission by the instructor. STUDIO ETIQUETTE We ask that small children and/or siblings are supervised at all times. MLDA is a home away from home and that it should be treated with respect. Therefore, please clean up after yourself, treat all fellow dancers and teachers with respect.
