Gratitude + Grit

Turkey time is here!!! Actually, it's all about the side dishes for me,lol. (and who doesn't love Pumpkin pie?)

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, because it is a cherished time to gather with loved ones and reflect on all that we are grateful for. I've always said that gratitude is the highest vibration. When we celebrate those around us, we become better in the process...Plus, there are valuable health benefits in feeling gratitude, when we show appreciation and kindness, we reduce our stress, which in turn, helps us lean into the hectic holiday season with a sense of calm and positivity. When we take the time to celebrate all that we are thankful for, we gain a clearer perspective on our lives, we increase our self-esteem, improve our relationships with those around us, and we are then, able to harness the motivation to push through difficulties...which leads me to Grit...(You knew I would come around to that dance connection soon, didn't you?)

In order to achieve any goals, (dance or otherwise), we need to understand what is truly important to us. Once we recognize what we are the most grateful for, we are given the clarity to overcome obstacles and face our daily challenges with confidence and purpose. Gratitude gives us the focus and Grit gives us the ability to move those mountains.

So, here is my Thanksgiving wish for you...May you take the time to embrace all that you are thankful for and may you approach life's challenges with grace, grit, but most importantly, love. Now go have some pumpkin pie. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

xx
